In the heart of a farm called "LA SENTIU", there is cellar's QUIM BATLLE .

A cellar buried in the center of the farm, three hectares in length , planted on slopes and terraces of stony terrain between 20 and 40% unevenness, facing south-east.

HISTORY

Joaquim Batlle, son of a peasant, born in Tiana to the Maresme region. From very small was the one who accompanied and helped the grandfather and the father in the cultivation of the vineyards. Little by little they transmitted the passion, the taste and the know-how in the cure of crops.

In 1993, he recovered a farm at an altitude of 308 m and took up the white autochthonous varieties of the municipality . In the year 1999, the Joaquim Batlle winery was born.

By recovering these varieties in terms of tradition and adaptation to the new times, they have allowed him to produce a white wine that has a specific singularity.

Since 2003 the winery and the vineyards are considered ecological with the Catalan Council of Organic Production certification.

THE VINEYARDS

The production is developed around three autochthonous varieties: White grenache, Pansa Blanca and Picapoll.

The terroir is of Sauló with exposure to the sea from sea winds to land.
The three varieties present a good aromatic structure thanks to an exposure facing the sea and an altitude of 308 meters, which ensures a very marked thermal contrast, with very hot days, lightened by the sea ​​breeze, the foranell, and evenings fresh

VARIETAL WINES

Fruit of the experience, the perseverance and the effort that day to day we dedicate to the culture of the vineyard, our cellar offers three varieties of white wine.

Foranell Pansa Blanca, Foranell Picapoll and Foranell Garnatxa, are the wines that distinguish us, all of them under the Alella designation of origin , coming from organic farming and with a limited production that guarantees an excellent quality.

Currently the production of the wines comes from the same farm, it is researched and worked every day to get the best quality from the grapes.
